Here is Rachael trying to figure out her camera.
This is me with one of the volunteers at Westminster Abbey. Here is the statue in fron of Buckingham palace. This is St. Pauls Cathedral. They don't let you take pictures inside but it is awesome! Here is the view from the top of St Paul's Cathedral. It is like 420 winding steps to the top but it is worth the hike.
More pictures to come! I have to find some with Brandi because I love her too!
i know that was fun to have some friends around. when you're away, especially far away, you really treasure those little touches from home. good-byes are the hardest. grandpa arnold (sechrest) was very tenderhearted and always said, "see you later" because "good-bye" was just too hard. he thought the only bad part of having family (or friends) visit was having them leave. glad you had a good time, though. do you have any other prospects for visits from friends or family?
ReplyDeleteMy Family is coming for a week at Christmas and last I heard there was something in the works for the Sechrests around then as well. After my family leaves we will be heading to Spain, France, and Italy for a week and then another friend of mine from high school is coming in January for a week. We love having visitors and trips planned so we have something to look forward to. I just hate it when they leave. Every time Nate and I leave he looks like he is kidnapping me because I bawl all the way through the airport.I will have to try the "see you later" thing. Maybe that will make it easier.
ReplyDeleteI can identify with those feelings! I can get really emotional when people leave. Last Christmas after having everyone home, it was really hard to see them go...the house was toooo quiet and empty feeling and I missed everyone so much! But that's good that we all love each other so much that we love being together! So, I try to enjoy the time with family and friends and not think about the leaving part so much.
