It has turned very very cold and we have already pulled out the hats and scarves. Nate is doing good in school and he just realized the other day that he doesn't have a singe final this term so we are going to take off for Scotland two days earlier than planned. It will catch up with him next term because a lot of his classes (and thier related finals) will carry on to the next section. There are already a bunch of Christmas lights up and tonight we are going ice skating. I can't think of a better place to have Chistmas than London, except maybe home with our families, but we are excited nonetheless. Here are some more pictures!
Here is me and Nate and Rachael and Brandi. They may hate me for this picture becuase they had just gotten off the plane but I love it!
This is me and Rachael at Westminster Abbey. This was one of the last days of good weather and this courtyard was so pretty.
Again they may hate me for this picture but all pictures in my possession are fair game! This is Rachael and Brandi doing a dance in front of the Tower of London.
i'm excited for some cold weather, but right now we are having record warmth. it is almost 80 degrees today. i can hardly believe it. but it IS nice. but i LOVE ice skating!! is it indoors or outdoors?
ReplyDeletei think it sounds like a lot of fun to be able to see some of the world up close and personal. take lots of pictures from scotland. it sounds like a great trip. i'm sure its hard to be away from family and friends, but it sounds like a wonderful adventure all the same.
i love all the pictures. i feel like i can really get a glimpse into your world through them. thanks for taking the time to post.
I think beating Kristen to the comment board should be an olympic sport. Things are finally cooling off here, there have been a few freezing days, but mostly, no coats required! Looks like fun. Your friends are brave!
ReplyDeleteso does that mean i win the gold? ;)
ReplyDeleteI officially award Kristen the gold metal of the London Sechrest blog. My friends are crazy and brave and so much fun. I miss them but I love the dancing picture. It's actually one of a sequence with my rapid fire option on my camera and it kills me. The ice rink is one of many outdoor rinks they set up around London. This one is right outside the Natural History museum. I will post pictures soon! Lisa you can have silver if you want. I don't care, I just love getting comments!
ReplyDeleteI guess maybe I will settle for bronze! I love seeing the pictures and what you guys are doing. It's warm here today, but we're supposed to get a cold rain tomorrow. Most of our pretty fall leaves are gone. There are a few reds and yellows left, but the trees are starting to look bare. I just hope we get some snow this winter! Adam says they've had some in Idaho...maybe we'll get him to bring some with him when he comes home for Christmas! :)
ReplyDeleteHi Nate and Alayna!
ReplyDeleteHi Shawn! How is the car? I LOVED the video of the kids!
ReplyDeleteMom and I enjoyed the pictures of London, we want to see pictures of you flat. Not much here we ate nuts, and cookies. Mom is recounting what exactly she had to eat to day. Also we made a blog called themaplegrove, but we don't know how to get back to it.
