Sad Stories
I know I'm a bad blogger and it's a little sad that this is what I am blogging about but here goes. I am surprisingly sad about Heath Ledger's death. I didn't realize I was so attached. I suppose it makes sense; he was my first real movie crush in Ten Things I Hate About You and A Knights Tale. I just didn't think I was that affected by pop culture but I am really sad. I am also sadder than I thought about the recent death of Brad Renfro who was in Tom and Huck. It's things like this that make you wonder why talented and blessed people destroy their lives. It is even more sad when you realize that these people often have children that they are leaving behind. I know this is a sad thought but it should just remind you to hug your kids and do what's right. Until I blog again (could be weeks, could be months)...

Hopefully it will be sooner than later! We miss hearing from you. :)
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about the Heath Ledger thing, though. Most of Hollywood makes me sad. It seems that most of the actors/actresses have lives spiraling out of control. At the very least they often have had multiple unstable relationships, multiple children from multiple relationships, they have suffered or are suffering from some sort of substance abuse and the list goes on. Most are beautiful and have more money than they will know what to do with, yet that is not enough to truly make them happy. There is nothing I see in Hollywood that would make me aspire to that sort of life and yet there are young men and women everywhere who want to be "stars". I think what makes me sad is the "what might have been".
Oh well, I guess we can't solve all the world's problems in one day. You guys take care. We love and miss you. :)
